An outgrowth from the past to the present is never easy.
It is taking a leap of faith like cherry blossoms blooming in the spring.
Naurah tells her story as a young Muslim woman. Every human has
imperfections but it is not meant to be made fun of. There were times
she was tormented, abused, and body-shamed. The filthy comments
were written on the Insecurity Robe' and the placement of the text is
where she felt insecure.
The 'Security Robe' is a form of growth and healing. Naurah
incorporates her self-reflection on the canvas and it is like an assurance
to her. Flower patches were sewn onto the places where she was hurt.
The whole robe is a sense of growth, positivity and maturity.
